A letter for you
Dear beloved,
I am so grateful you’ve found this place. You are welcome here. All are welcome here because I’m not qualified to judge anyone, but I’m called to love everyone. If you’re breathing, you’re welcome here.
Like life, this space is a work in progress, so please bear with me. I have hundreds of journal entries from which I’ll post and organize by topic over time. I’ll also share what God continues to speak to me day-to-day. The design and layout may change as I settle into what I like most and as I improve accessibility to the space, but the heart behind it will remain the same:
- I want you to know that you’re enough. Knowing this doesn’t equate to complacency in your ways or trust in your own reasoning. It just means no more striving or performing to be loved and known because you already are.
- I want you to grow in an ever-present awareness that you can witness wherever you are, however you are for the glory of Christ, as demonstrated by the Apostle Paul who witnessed in one of the most limiting situations – from prison while chained to imperial Roman guards.
You are fully known. Not the version of you that pretends to have it all together — the one reading this on an ordinary Tuesday, or a hard Wednesday, or a quiet Saturday. Every doubt you keep quiet, every part you’re afraid would be too much, every ache that is hard to name — all of it already seen, and none of it a reason to be loved any less.
God knew you before you were formed in the womb. He knows the very number of hairs on your head. He knows what you think before you say it. He sent His son to die for you while you were still His enemy. He loves you eternally and unconditionally.
Set down the weight you’ve been carrying — the proving, the earning, the endless keeping-up. Rest is not a reward for finishing. It is offered to you here, in the middle, unfinished and welcome.
And on the days you can barely show up — when your prayers are one word long, when faith feels more like holding on than reaching out — that counts too. Showing up, however imperfectly, is enough. You are enough.
You are known. You are held. You are enough.
With love
from the one who knows you were made on purpose.
