About yāḏa

God knows you deeply and loves you fully. You are enough.

In a Biblical context, yāḏaʽ is a Hebrew word that translates to “to know.” However, the word describes more than cognitive awareness. It’s a deep, intimate knowledge gained through relationship and personal experience, implying closeness, connection, and vulnerability. It carries the weight of loyalty to covenant, which implies choice. To be fully known by God means that he loves us and chooses us despite the worst parts of us. In His love, there is never a need for pretense or comparison.

A well-worn, leather-bound journal lies open on a simple oak table, its cream-colored pages filled with faint, handwritten reflections that are just out of focus. Beside it rests a smooth river stone engraved with a small heart-shaped indentation and a thin gold bookmark peeking out from under the pages. Soft morning sunlight filters through an unseen window, washing the scene in a gentle, warm glow and casting delicate shadows across the grain of the wood. Photographic realism, shot at eye level with a shallow depth of field, keeps the journal in crisp focus while the background fades into a soft bokeh, creating a serene, intimate atmosphere of quiet faith, spiritual reflection, and being fully known and loved.
A close-up of an open, weathered journal or book resting on a soft surface, pages slightly worn and curled at the edges, with soft warm light falling across it. Perhaps a few dried botanicals or a small stone resting on the open pages. No people, no hands, no body parts. The mood is deep intimacy and quiet revelation — the feeling of being fully known and seen. Muted warm tones, creamy whites and soft browns, fine art photography, shallow depth of field.

About me

I’m Ty, a Christ follower who wants to help people hurt less because I know what it’s like to hurt. I’m a neurodivergent (ND) single mom of an ND kiddo, and I feel called to places and conversations around faith, mental health, and advocacy – whether individually or collectively.

Here, you will find my journal entries from my quiet time with God – raw, real, and unpolished, as well as any other learnings and promptings along the way. God has spurred me to witness where I am, however I am. No ideal circumstances needed, just a willing, albeit nervous, heart. This space is in response to that nudge.

Loved, seen, and safe

When I think about the human experience, there seems to be a common thread: feelings of inadequacy show up in some way in some area(s) of our lives. Thus, there is a natural yearning to feel significant and worthy – one that, if we let it, can lead us back to the heart and hands of our Creator, the only One who can fully satisfy our need to be loved, seen, safe, and known.

This commonality in our humanity moves me, as does a deep desire to encourage people in their moments and seasons of heaviness. My heart hurts when others hurt.

My prayer is that God uses this space to comfort you, to give you wisdom, and to encourage you to witness where you are, however you are.

A single lit candle in a matte white ceramic holder stands at the center of a minimalist wooden shelf, surrounded by a few carefully placed natural objects: a small olive branch, a folded linen cloth, and a smooth ceramic bowl. The flame flickers softly, illuminating the gentle texture of the wall behind it and creating a halo of warm light that contrasts with the cool, dim room. Photographic realism with a slightly elevated angle, using dramatic side lighting that casts long, peaceful shadows. The composition follows the rule of thirds, evoking a sophisticated, contemplative mood that subtly suggests God’s steady presence and quiet encouragement in the midst of everyday life.
